Colour and finish mismatches
Batches of stain, lacquer or fabric dye can vary slightly between production runs, especially on larger orders split across several weeks. A mid-line inspection catches this before an entire order ships with visibly inconsistent finishes.
Joint and frame stability issues
Loose joints, insufficient glue coverage, or under-tightened hardware often aren't visible from the outside and only show up under load — exactly the kind of fault a physical stability check during inspection is designed to catch.
Packing and carton damage risk
Undersized cartons, missing corner protection, or insufficient padding around finished surfaces are a leading cause of transit damage — issues that are cheap to fix before loading and expensive to deal with after a container has crossed the ocean.
Quantity and packing list mismatches
Short shipments and mismatched carton counts are more common than most buyers expect, and are only reliably caught by a physical count against the packing list at pre-shipment inspection, not by trusting the factory's own paperwork.
